Itinerary

Upon arrive Bangkok airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Enjoy a sumptuous welcome Thai dinner at a Bangkok’s signature restaurant – Sala Rim Naam – which has been transformed into a mini Royal Palace overlooking Chao Phrya River. Thai dance performance every evening.

An early start will get you to Wat Po in time to experience the monks early morning chanting ritual (chanting starts at 09.00 Hrs). After this uplifting and often private experience visit the temple grounds and the famous 45-metre reclining Buddha. Continue to The Grand Palace, Thailand’s most important landmark, where you will be awed by the grandeur and majesty of the building and its throne halls. Then, of course, marvel at the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand.

Lunch is at the delightful restaurant, overlooking the Chao Phraya River.

Let you on an exhilarating long tail boat ride through the klongs of Bangkok to Nonthaburi in the far north of the city, where the cityscape turns into countryside and the skyscrapers give way to teak houses, noodle shops, fruit orchards and rice fields. Stop the boat to walk through a bustling local market place and discover a riverside temple with an impressive reclining Buddha far from the tourist crowds. We will often stop for a fresh coconut juice and chat with the locals before cruising back into town.

Drive south of Bangkok to Samut Songkhram province. First we stop at an amazing country market along the railway tracks then we visit Tha Kha, one of the many floating markets in the area. We take a fascinating paddleboat journey through the klongs and stop to enjoy a glass of coconut sugar syrup with a friendly local family. We take a boat ride through the maze of canals stopping along the way to visit Buddhist temples before arriving at Rama II Park with its Thai style Pavilion Museum.

Drive back to Bangkok and stop at Samyan Market, a Thai fresh market experience. As you stroll through the market, meet locals on their shopping jaunts, learn about the ingredients used in Thai cooking and sample some tropical fruits.

Continue to the century-old Nanglerng Food Market, one of the oldest and most significant markets in inner Bangkok. Set in old-style wooden shop houses, the market offers insights into old Thai architectural styles as well as traditional Thai dishes. Following that, enjoy a delectable lunch near Bangkok City Hall and wrap up the meal with sarim, a popular Thai dessert made up of colorful thin vermicelli served in savory coconut milk.

A short tuk-tuk ride takes you to Thammasart University where you can sample the wide array of tasty snacks and drinks sold by vendors surrounding the campus.

A boat ride along the Chao Phraya River leads to Yaowarat, Bangkok’s Chinatown famed for the abundance of Chinese delicacies sold along the streets. Ends of your day with the famous pad thai at Tipsamai Pad Thai, a restaurant selling only this stir-fried noodle specialty for the past 60 years.

This private cooking class introduces you to Thai cuisine under the expert guidance of Angsana Anderson, a Thai homemaker with years of experience teaching Thai cooking in her kitchen. Starting with a visit to the market, you will be accompanied by Angsana in shopping for the ingredients. Returning to her residence, take part in a hands-on cooking session (based on a pre-selected menu of three dishes and one dessert) with supervision from Angsana. After the class, savor your mouth-watering creations before leaving with a satisfied palate and an expanded culinary repertoire.

Afternoon is free is at leisure.

In the evening, take you to a fabulous dinning venue at one of the city’s most romantic restaurant of Bangkok, The Vertigo.

On top of the Thai Wah II Tower on Sathorn Road, this beautiful rooftop restaurant is designed in such a way that when one is seated it appears that there is no railing giving uninterrupted views of the city. Mix of gourmet fusion dishes, international favorites and Thai cuisine. Excellent cocktails and a place to ‘be seen’ in Bangkok.
