Welcome to Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of Laos and the World Heritage Site. Met and greeted by our guide at the airport upon arrival then take a short transfer to hotel of checking in.

After a short break we will get out for our first Luang Prabang experience with a guided tour to visit around the city’s featured sights.

Start with Wat Visun – the holiest temple of Luang Prabang and then Wat Aham, Wat Xieng Thong – the most photographed architecture in Laos and Wat Mai which is known with golden bas-relief.

Take a light hike up to the top of Phu Si-hill for marvelous view of the city with Mekong and the small Nam Khan rivers bellow and enjoy the spectacular sunset over the landscape. 

From there, we explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Get up early to join with locals in a special activity of morning alms giving when monks in yellow robe slowly walk along the road side to receive donations from people, a typical scene in Luang Prabang.

Breakfast at the hotel and get transferred to the pier to board a long tail boat for a cruise upstream the Mekong River to the holy Pak Ou Caves – a pleasant journey that gives us a taste of light adventure to the tranquil countryside and natural beauties. We will have a stop en route to visit to the Ban Xang Hai of Lao Loum people where we can enjoy local interaction and observe the local distill the Lao whiskey – Lao Lao.

Enjoy our time visiting the caves of Pak Ou. These are a group of magnificent caves that are carved out of towering limestone cliffs on the side of the Mekong River and contain thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues ranging from a few centimeters to the size of a human. The caves are the holy destinations for local pilgrims.

Cross the Mekong to visit Ban Pak Ou and on the way back to Luang Prabang we will visit to another village Ban Xang Khong.

After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace, which now turned into a museum which offers a huge display of beautiful collections of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture through the time.

From there we will take a further transfer to the stunning Kuang Si waterfall, a jade of Luang Prabang area. On the way there we will have stops to visit villages of Hmong and Khmu where you have local interaction and learn about local life as well as the cultural diversity of Laos.

Enjoy the time at the falls and get a wonderful bath in crystal-clear natural water. Transfer back in town in the evening.
